(Still in Draft Form)

Resolution 58/4 of 31 October 2003 marked the adoption by the UN of the Convention Against Corruption, showing concern at the highest levels for ways to move society world-wide forward in their efforts to deal with corruption in all its forms.
The Alliance, in its effort to focus on innovative and preventive efforts marked the 2011 International Anti-Corruption Day and is now inviting its members, associates and interested parties as well as governments and intergovernmental groups to join us as co-sponsors and participants in discussions, fora, keynote addresses, symposia, presentation of promising practices (and more) throughout the week of December 3 – 9, 2012 on Constructing The Good Society 2012 (the Week).
This focus on what works at all levels, including the individual, family, community, state, regional and international levels is already planned to take place in locations around NYC, in New Jersey and Washington DC. We are now inviting interested parties to link their events, topics and findings to the Week to further highlight the focus on practices and approaches that constructively contribute to the diminishment of corruption.

To tie this together and to highlight the collective work of organizations and people worldwide, we will hold an event at UNHQ on Thursday December 6th. Those who are are engaged in the Week, including Member States, relevant UN departments and civil society will be invite to join us for this special event.

We look forward to your participation and contribution to the 2012 work of “Constructing The Good Society: Countering Corruption By Strengthening Healthy Relationships.”
