Victimization of Women by Extremist Groups @ Palais Wenkheim | Wien | Wien | Austria

ACUNS Vienna Liaison and Webster University cordially invite you to a

Symposium on the Occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Co-sponsored by the Permanent Missions of Norway and France to the UN

In recent years an unprecedented number of women have been enslaved, brutalized and oppressed by extremist groups such as Daesh or Boko Haram. We believe that it is our duty as a civil society organization highly active in the field of raising awareness and conducting research on femicide to address the topic of sexual violence perpetrated by extremist groups. Hence, we intend to gather Member States Representatives, NGO representatives, journalists and relevant experts from the academia to initiate an incisive panel discussion on this topic. We hope to identify a series of practical measures which could prevent and alleviate this problem.
